A passenger aboard the Delta Air Lines flight that crashed and flipped upside down while attempting to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport yesterday has shared video footage from inside the wreckage.

At approximately 3:30 PM Eastern Time on February 17, Delta Air Lines Flight 4819 overturned while attempting to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport after departing from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Despite carrying 80 people—76 passengers and four crew members—there were no fatalities. However, at least 18 individuals sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Deborah Flint, CEO of Toronto Pearson International Airport, addressed the incident in a statement, saying, “We are very grateful there was no loss of life and relatively minor injuries.”

Delta News Hub released a statement on Twitter, saying:

“Initial reports indicate that there are no fatalities. Several injured customers have been taken to local hospitals.

Our top priority is providing care and support to those affected.”

As investigators start piecing together the details of the crash, CNN has released audio from air traffic control capturing communication between a controller and the pilot of another nearby flight.

“LifeFlight 1, Medevac, just for your awareness, there are individuals walking around the aircraft at the scene,” the controller informed the pilot.

“Yes, we see it,” the Medevac pilot responded. “The aircraft is upside down and on fire.”

Passengers from the flight have shared their experiences on social media, with one individual posting footage captured moments after evacuating the overturned jet.

Passenger Shares Shocking Footage After Plane Crash

Ashley Zook captured a harrowing moment on Snapchat, recording herself while trapped in an overturned aircraft.

“My plane crashed. I’m upside down,” she says in the video, followed by a stunned expletive: “What the f**k.”

According to The Independent, medical transport company Ornge confirmed that three people sustained critical injuries: a man in his 60s, a woman in her 40s, and a child. Their identities have not yet been released.

This incident follows last month’s catastrophic crash near Reagan National Airport in Washington, where a passenger jet collided with a Black Hawk helicopter on January 29. That tragedy claimed 67 lives, marking the deadliest aviation disaster in the U.S. since 2001.
